How to get 'process' option back in Windows (vista)

I have had to use Windows (vista) for some data process for 1st time
in a decade. Yum. Being a linux person I have very little idea what I
am doing.

When I first installed survex it handily had a 'process' option in the
right-click menu for .svx files. (Oh yeah, and how do I get Windows to
show me the whole effing filename inlcuding extension?!)

But 'opening' a file openned it in notepad which puts everything on
one line if the file came from unix which is 100% useless. So I
changed it to use wrodpad instead. All well and good. But now my
'process' option seems to have evaporated. How do I get it back?

I can change the default 'open with' action to use cavern but that's
not very helpful either. Perhaps I could change it to cavern and then
set the default back to wordpad, and that would leave cavern showing
in the 'open with' menu?

Clues welcome.
