That's very odd. I tested this on an old win98 box (with Survex 1.0.12
installed before) and it worked.
What is the "Open" file association set to? You can find it (from
memory) from an explorer window - not too sure which menu it's in
View maybe? Then Folder Options, then one of the tabs (File Types
I think) and select .svx in the list box.

Damn, that's a bug I introduced when I fixed failing to find message
files when run from the command line. I'll upload a fixed version
for Windows soon - the other versions are all unaffected.

My rationale for making it the default is that less computer literate users
would probably prefer it, while techie types would probably prefer to
use their own editor. And the techie types are more at home adjusting
the file associations.
But perhaps that's not a good idea while svxedit is still a bit
experimental. Thoughts?

Tcl is rather big (more than 5 times the size of Survex!), though of
course you only need to download it once, not with each new Survex
version.
BTW, the win32 version has just stopped fitting on a 1.44M floppy disk
again. Do people think that's a problem, or not worth worrying about?
