flag option?

This is probably just me but I was wondering how to handle the following situation.

- I am trying to close a loop;
- the nearest station is either really difficult to see (tucked under the passage) or lost (flagging removed or dot destroyed);
- another station can be located but the length really cannot be included in the survey since it is basically a duplicate shot.

If I use Duplicate, it is not added to the length but does not close the loop
If I use Splay, it also is not added and does not close the loop.
