I wonder if the app bundle won't run aven from PATH.  I've tweaked it to
symlink to aven from inside the bundle, so could you try again now?

If it still fails, could you elaborate on "doesn't work"?  I.e. what
exactly happens when you double click on the app?  Nothing at all?
