Ooh, you've got a card reader ? Wish I'd known, it would have saved me
retyping Cambridge Underground 1976 to get it on modern media. It
turned out that the magnetic tape which I managed to obtain from the
Computer labs was so old that even though we had the right sort of
tape drive, I couldn't retrieve those files. That was only a decade or
so later - Forty years on and the punched cards are still fine - there's
far less to go wrong with those older technologies apart from the fact
that you need a museum to read them... And, in your case, possibly to
write to cards - is your Elliott in any way connected to the net ? Serial
port to a PC perhaps ?
