Yes, I had to update the 3d format to support anonymous stations, so
1.2.7 introduces a new "version 8" of the format with this and a few other
improvements.  Older versions can't read these files, and should give
a message saying they're a newer format version.

If you run cavern from the command line, you can tell it to produce an
older version of the 3d format with e.g.

cavern --3d-version=7 mycave.svx

There isn't currently a way to specify this if you aren't using the
command line.
