I agree that is powerful and useful. But the problem many people who
ask me for help have with survex is that it is 'too geeky', so I still
think an easier way to provide LRUD data would be welcomed. As most
other packages associate it with a leg, I think this will help users
coming from other packages to survex. Now many of those packages also
have the problem of how to give the LRUD data for the last station, if
each leg only supports the LRUD for the first station.

Under my original proposal, I would just extend it to allow LRUD data
for the last station to be given by repeating the leg without the leg
data: e.g.
2          3     4.62    246      -2       0.3 0.1 1.4 0.5
2          3       -         -          -        0.2 0.2 1.3 0.4   3

Maybe with or without the optional 3 on the end of the line to
indicate this is LRUD data for the final station?
