OK, I've added these. I tweaked the .err colouring to colour the
error "factors" as well (these show the actual error divided by what the
error modelling expected so are usually a better indicator of problems).

These files really should have a licence (as should Dave's syntax file
for .svx files) - is it your intention that they're released under the
GPL?

I'm just trying to get the build system to install these automatically
but the directory appears to vary even between Linux distros - for
Ubuntu dapper and debian sarge and unstable it's /usr/share/vim/addons
but RHEL (CentOS 4.3), FC3, and SuSE9 don't have that directory, and
neither does an old Debian woody box.

I can easily just check a list of directories and install in the first
which exists (and not install if none exist).

So if you know for sure where to install vim files for a particular
distro, let me know.

Cool, I'll add a link.

Looks like it's /usr/share/vim/vimfiles for Gentoo then.

You're probably better off replacing docbook-to-man with false too BTW
since docbook2man isn't a drop-in replacement. The source tarball comes
with all the documentation prebuilt, and just building survex shouldn't
try to regenerate it, so I'm not quite sure why that's happening for
you anyway...
