Hmm, it seems aven's depth colouring doesn't handle surveys with no
vertical extent.  I'll fix that for 1.1.6.

If you need a workaround to view such a survey before then, you can
load some other survey, turn off "colour by depth" in the view menu
and then load the flat survey.
