bug in cavern trying to use *solve

I was trying to use *solve in a survey to see the results and get this
error msg:

Calculating trailing traverses...
netskel.c:756: assert(fixed(stn1)) failed
cavern: Bug in program detected! Please report this to the authors


without using *solve, it works fine (survex 1.1.3, Gentoo Linux)
