Talk about snatching the baby from the cradle!  I'd appreciate it if
people could just hang fire on hacking this until I've actually got it
sorted out to my satisfaction.  It was supposed to be a personal project
rather than a free-for-all, at least until stability is reached.  There
are many design issues to be considered and it would be a mistake to
rush it.

On a separate note, I was intending to rewrite that code written in
Austria anyway.
