Indeed.  I need to keep 1.0.3? around, and so can't use the source RPM, 
on my FC4 systems.  I end up building from source and running the 
applications in-tree.  It would be really handy if the development 
series were configured to install alongside 1.0.x; when I build by hand 
I configure with --program-suffix to distinguish the two.
