At the moment you can enter the info by putting ignore ignore ignore ignore
into the *data command but of course it would be enormously more useful if
you could put left right up down in here so at least the meaning of the data
was recorded until we do something more useful with it. I've done a
(trivial) patch to this effect (which I'd upload if I hadn't forgotten the
ethernet adaptor for my laptop).
The problem with LRUD info in this form ( on the same line as the main
readings, as output by SMAPS and compass) is that it's not clear which
station the data goes with (FROM, TO, NEW station or, OLD station), and
whether it is all 'looking in', 'looking out' or 'in the direction of the
shot'. We need a way of specifying these conventions too. that's going to be
a 1.1 thing and I suspect Olly has a plan...
Being able to enclose LRUD data in *data LRUD or similar would also be
useful but at the moment LRUD info separate from the main data just needs to
be entered behind comment chars.
