Is there anyway, using Linux only, to get a compass .plt file from
survex? I am about to try out survex to see if I like it better than
compass, but to use carto, I still need a ,plt file.
Further Carto info is at:
http://www.psc-cavers.org/carto/
And details regrading possible better survex support are at:
http://www.psc-cavers.org/cgi-bin/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=157
Any suggestions on other ways of doing this?
Philip

Currently Carto can read the output from Compass and CMAP, both of which
are windows/dos programs. You should be able to run either one under
wine, but the setup effort if you don't use wine already may be
considerable.

I am interpreting this question as a request to make the answer "yes"
(it isn't now), and have entered it into my bug database as Bug 157.
