I've uploaded the seventh prerelease of Survex 0.97. Everything I wanted to
do before 0.97 is know done so unless any problems are reported in the next
few days this is likely to be the 0.97 release.

Download links are on:

This prerelease is available for all platforms (including RISC OS and
pre-386 MSDOS machines).

The most notable change in this version is that the DOS versions are now
packaged as self-extracting zip files for convenience. Just copy the
downloaded file to where you want it unpacked and run it. You can still
unpack them with a separate zip program if you want.

I've got a (fairly short) list of things to do for 0.98, and I believe Mark
has a few things to do for aven. I'm currently jobless (got made redundant)
so progress is likely to be rapid, and I'm expecting we'll have 1.0 (or
something very close to it) by the end of July (in time for the CUCC expo).

Full list of user-visible changes between 0.97-prerelease6 and prerelease7:

* Messages relating to command line options are now translatable.

* (MS DOS versions): now supply self-extracting zip archives.

* (MS Windows version): after running cavern, wait for a key press
  before closing the window.

Cheers,
Olly
