I'm quite sure both of these operations work correctly on my Windows
2000 machine.  Can you check that you're definitely running the new
executable?

Can anyone else confirm these problems?

Bizarre.  It works fine on Linux -- haven't got a Windows machine to
test it on right now.

I'll be addressing performance issues like these after we've got version
1.0 out.  There are a multitude of areas in which I intend to improve
speed...
