Just some positive feedback for you guys. This version compiles and
seems to run fine on the Alpha platform running an up-to-date Debian
GNU/Linux.
Interestingly on a local display Xcaverot is faster than Aven but if I
run it remotely, redirecting the X display, Xcaverot really slows down
heaps and its then slower than Aven which is still fine. Prob something
to do with the performance of the libraries they are linked against and
how those libraries do X calls or something.
