Extended elevation, change of height only

I've generated some simple test data, that repeats three times to see 
what happens.

I tend to use this feature when I'm forced across a passage, say to get 
up a climb and as it is perpendicular to the direction of travel, 
extending it does not make sense. This also can happen up pitches, if 
you take multiple readings maybe going round in a circle. Often this 
situation can be solved but using left and right alternatively.

Agree vertical might not be the best term, but it is what is used in 
Therion. Survex extended terminology for extended is different so in 
this case there would be little point in staying the same.

I'm not sure the idea of treating the splays as cross sections works, 
for going across the passage. Maybe it can be made to.

Currently I do not think the splays are the best answer in Therion 
output for left/right extend. It certainly does not work for the 60 and 
-60 splays, I assume because they are closer to the incoming the go in 
the direction of the incoming.
