Now in Debian testing, Debian backports, the Ubuntu PPA
(https://launchpad.net/~survex-devs/+archive/ubuntu/ppa/+packages) and
the homebrew repo for macOS users.

If you're using the homebrew package, make sure you're actually getting
updates - someone reported a bug recently and it turned out they were
still using a version built by homebrew in 2016, which is 2 years before
we created the current repo:

https://github.com/ojwb/homebrew-survex/

If you're in a similar situation, I'd suggest uninstalling survex:

    brew uninstall survex

Then follow the instructions in the README at the link above to install
survex from there instead.

I also discovered I'd mostly prepared a 1.2.46 release on 2023-06-29 but
never actually released it. 1.2.x kept support for PROJ < 6.2, but that
should be easily available everywhere now so it doesn't seem worth doing
more work on this. Therefore I've added a tag (v1.2.46) so it can at
least be easily found in git, and no further work on 1.2.x is planned at
this point. If support for PROJ < 6.2 is actually still important to
you, please speak up.

Cheers,
    Olly
