I think it is possible, but I suspect it wouldn't be nice to use, as the
UI wasn't made with a touchscreen in mind. The UI will also not look
like an android app.
You may also need to root your tablet to do it. And you probably need
to be comfortable with moderately low level Linux stuff (or be willing
to fight your way through).
For example, install a chroot of Debian:

Run an X server:
https://wiki.debian.org/ChrootOnAndroid#Running_GUI_along_side_Android
Install the survex-aven debian package, and run "aven" from a shell
prompt.
It really needs a native app I think, with a UI more tailored to the
devices. Much of the existing code should be reusable at least.
Sadly I've not yet found time to work on this. If any android
programmers are interested in helping, do speak up.
