Has anyone managed to install survex 1.1.x in Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty) or
9.10 (Karmic)? The version available via apt is *still* 1.0.39, even
though 1.1.2 was released almost two years ago...
Trying to install the .deb fails, since libwxgkt 2.4 no longer exists!
(only 2.6 and 2.8):
guano[speleo]$ sudo dpkg -i survex_1.1.12-1_i386.deb
[sudo] password for guano:

Unpacking survex (from survex_1.1.12-1_i386.deb) ...
dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of survex:

Shouldn't we move to wx 2.6 or 2.8? and what about unicode? I remember
that once I commented out the lines regarding the checking for
unicode/non-unicode in configure, and it worked fine with my unicode
wx.
