The advantage of using exports is that you can avoid a certain class
of mistakes by only exporting stations that are known to be refindable
or re-used. If you try to connect to a station that is not exported
then this is a reminder to check that the connection really is to the
right station. If you always mark all your stations then perhaps
*infer exports on makes sense.
In older versions of survex inferring exports was the default but the
export concept was added to make connections explicit at both ends.
