What version of sgmltools is this (output from: sgmltools --version)?

I'm afraid docbook-to-man and docbook2man are different, and not
interchangeable.

You can probably just do:

cd src;make install;cd lib;make install

You won't get the docs installed, but everything else should work I
think.
