problems with survex 1.0.9

Hello cavers,

I tested the very new Survex release 1.0.9 on Linux and Windows. Before
installing the new version I carefully removed the old one on both kinds
of OS.

Aven on Windows crashes now in most cases if I open a 3d file and switch
the display of station names on. Sometimes I can open Compass plt files in
aven, sometimes I get an error message (Olly, I'll send you a screen shot
off-list). The printer drivers (I tested printps and printhpgl) aren't
affected by the problems with the 3d files and doing their jobs. The dxf
output of cad3d seems to be o.k. If I try to print Compass plt files with
the survex printer drivers there are no errors but the output is
completely out of scale and survey legs missing.

On Linux there are other problems: Aven opens 3d files generated on Linux
or Windows without problem and does not crash. It still can't open plt
files and it does not matter if they are original ones of Compass or
converted with cad3d. The printer drivers behave with plt files exactly
the same as on Windows: The output is out of scale.
