Ok folks, second prerelease of Survex 0.98 is now up for grabs from:

http://www.survex.com/

This prerelease is available for all platforms. It fixes a few things that
I broke in the previous prerelease, and fixes a very subtle bug in the
articulation point code. It's actually one I tried to fix last year, but I
misunderstood it and my previous "fix" simply made it occur even more
rarely.

I've not fixed printwin (I'm hoping Phil will find enough time to
investigate, though he's rather busy being a junior doctor at the moment).
So if you know anything about writing code to produce printouts in MS
Windows, do get in touch.

Full list of user-visible changes between 0.98-prerelease1 and
0.98-prerelease2:

* (MS Windows version): Fixed "Open" on a .3d file to open in aven
rather than converting to a DXF. "Convert to DXF" now appears as a
  separate menu item.

* cavern: Fixed bogus errors about matrix not being positive definite.

* cavern: Fixed bug in articulation point code which could result in
a traverse "exploding" in certain situations (introduced in 0.95).

* cavern: Check for chunks of survey not connected to a fixed point is
now done earlier on (which simplifies quite a bit of the network
  code).

* xcaverot: Disabled "legs" and "surface" buttons in --pda mode - they
make the button bar too wide.

Cheers,
Olly
